The Story Behind This Tool

That was me, every single day.

I learnt many design skills but zero portfolio projects. Every job posting demanded "2-3 years of experience" and "portfolio showcasing real client work." But how do you get clients without a portfolio? And how do you build a portfolio without clients? It felt like being trapped in an endless loop.

I'd scroll through Dribbble and Behance, seeing incredible work, wondering, "How did they even get started?" Most had internships, agency experience, or connections. I had none of that.

The Blank Page Syndrome

One night, frustrated after another rejected application, I decided enough was enough. I thought, "What if I just... made up a client?" So I did. I wrote myself a brief for a fictional coffee shop called "Brew Haven." Owner's name: Sarah Martinez. Target audience: remote workers seeking cozy workspace. Brand personality: warm, inviting, productive.

Something magical happened. The blank page wasn't blank anymore. I had direction, constraints, and most importantly a story to design for. Within hours, I'd created my first real portfolio piece—a complete brand identity for a business that didn't exist, but felt real.
